A customer spent time researching with a fellowship at Kenya’s Koobi Fora Field School, six weeks in the Turkana Basin collecting fossils & surveying the Daasanach people. A teacher, volunteer & firefighter back home, out here he was something closer to an explorer.
His 2595C carried his water, gear, and samples every day and took hits meant for him when the acacia thorns and rock faces got aggressive. A mentor said“Nothing leaves the rift valley unchanged,” he told us “Neither did my bag.”
“When it came home torn LBT repaired it without hesitation; new suspenders, mended seams, good as new.” He liked it enough to buy the bigger version right after it was mended.
He sent these photos of the bag packed at dawn, and another propped against a schoolhouse wall with bullet holes riddling the chalkboard. “My bag has been to the edge of human civilization,” he said. “And it’s still being used today.”
