On November 21st, Selina Kapoor, an associate at Roop Xanttopoulos Babounakis & Klam, attended the 34th Annual Newly Admitted Attorneys’ Orientation Program hosted by the Fairfax Bar Association. During the program, Selina learned about Pro Bono opportunities available through the Fairfax Bar Association, Fairfax Law Foundation, and Young Lawyers Sections. She also gained a better understanding of the administrative processes at the Fairfax Circuit Court, General District Court, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. As part of the experience, Selina toured the courthouse and had the opportunity to hear valuable advice from Chief Judge Penny S. Azcarate of the Fairfax County Circuit Court, Chief Judge Michael J. Holleran of the General District Court, and Chief Judge Thomas P. Sotelo of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
Selina was joined by fellow family law associates Jamie Shaw of Cooper Ginsberg Gray PLLC and Alexandra Roskowinski of Blankingship & Keith, PC, all of whom were former students in Partners Stephanie Smith and Nate Olson’s Virginia Family Law class at George Mason University.
