I am so proud to announce that we have officially wrapped up our county’s very first “Justice in Action” summer mock trial program. This week, students stepped into the courtroom, argued objections, examined crime scenes, cross-examined witnesses, and experienced firsthand how our justice system works.

The brilliance, preparation, and passion these young people displayed gives me immense hope for the future of our community.

Education and mentorship shouldn't stop at the courtroom doors. That is why I am deeply committed to expanding educational outreach and ensuring our youth have continued opportunities to learn about civics, law, and justice. When we invest in our kids today, we strengthen the rule of law for tomorrow.

Thank you to all the student participants, volunteer attorneys, law enforcement speakers and participants, clerks, local government officials, and parents who made history with our very first program.
