Say hello to our associate attorney, Rachael A. Young!

Rachael A. Young received her Social Science B.A. in Psychology and Human Development from Washington State University in 2017, having graduated cm laude, and her J.D. from Lewis and Clark (Northwestern) Law School in 2020. She worked as a legal assistant for Senescu & Babich, PLLC while in law school and started as an Associate Attorney when she was admitted to the Washington State Bar. She has strong family and community ties and has dedicated time to serving aging adults in her community, even during the pandemic period, giving her a compassionate understanding of the needs of the population we serve.

Before we have the pleasure of meeting you, please get to know us! Meet our partner, Chris L. Babich.

Chris L. Babich received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Portland in 1995, having graduated magna cm laude. She spent many years as a mental health therapist and working in the field of child abuse response and evaluation. She went to law school as an evening student and received her J.D. from Lewis and Clark (Northwestern) Law School in 2007, graduating as a Casey Scholar and a member of the Cornelius Honor Society. She began working with Jim Senescu in 2006, and has worked exclusively in the practice of guardianship, probate, trust administration and vulnerable adult protection throughout her legal career.

Meet the founder and one of the partners here at Senescu & Babich, PLLC, James D. Senescu!

James D. Senescu received his B.A. in English from the University of Washington in 1993 and his J.D. in 1997 from Gonzaga University School of Law. Beginning with the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office in 1996, he handled domestic violence crimes in the newly formed Domestic Violence Unit. In 1998, he joined the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office and was involved in the creation of Clark County’s Domestic Violence Court and was a founding member of the Domestic Violence Prosecution Center, where he served as Unit Coordinator from 2003 – 2005. He was then assigned to the Clark County Major Crimes Unit handling homicides and major felonies, including crimes involving abuse of vulnerable adults. He has tried over 110 jury trials involving domestic violence, child abuse, guardianship and person crimes. In 2006, he went into private practice as a partner of Senescu & Babich, PLLC, emphasizing the protection of vulnerable adults in guardianships, civil litigation, and fiduciary management. He is a founding member of the Clark County Vulnerable Adult Task Force and served on the Executive Board of the Clark County Elder Justice Center. He has worked as an adjunct faculty member of Clark College in Vancouver, Washington, as a Pro Tempore Superior Court Judge for Clark County, and as an appointed Clark County Civil Service Commissioner for 10 years. He has presented at numerous trainings for law enforcement, attorneys, judges and community members both locally and statewide on familial and elder abuse issues and legal protections.
