Today’s Post: The Soft Protocol 🤍
One thing experience has taught me is that having a good heart and setting boundaries are not mutually exclusive. You can be kind without letting people walk all over you. You can forgive without reopening every door. You can understand someone’s situation without accepting their behavior. And you can walk away from a situation without wishing harm on anyone involved.
I used to think that having a pure heart meant constantly explaining myself, giving second chances, or trying to make everything perfect. But experience showed me otherwise.
A clear conscience doesn’t mean a life free of conflict. It means knowing that after the disagreements, disappointment, misunderstandings, wins, losses, and everything in between, you still choose what kind of person you want to be.
This is one of the most valuable lessons adulthood has given me: growth should add to your wisdom without taking away your humanity.
Keep the lessons learned.
Maintain your standards.
Set your boundaries.
Hold on to the good experiences and learn from the tough ones.
But don’t let what happened to you make you believe that you need to become harsh just to get stronger. There’s strength in staying soft while becoming more discerning.
There’s also peace in reaching a point where you no longer need everyone to understand your intentions. You know what you’ve given, what you’ve learned, what you still need to work on. And when you’re wrong, you admit it, correct yourself, and keep moving forward.
This isn’t about projecting a perfect life. It’s about a woman gathering experiences, learning from different chapters, protecting her peace, working toward the life she envisions, and leaving each chapter wiser while holding onto her pure heart. 👑☮️
Being soft doesn’t mean you’re weak. Having a clear conscience doesn’t mean you lack boundaries. And growth doesn’t mean you have to become someone unrecognizable.
