Today, we pause to honor the memory of those we lost on September 11, 2001. 🕊️

It's been 22 years, but the pain and the bravery of that day remain etched in our hearts forever. Let's pay tribute to the heroes who selflessly rushed in to help and to the innocent lives that were tragically taken from us.

May we never forget the unity, resilience, and compassion that emerged from the darkest of moments. 🙏 Let's keep their memories alive by spreading kindness, love, and understanding in our world today.

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support and resilience in the wake of the recent hurricane that affected our town. We'd like to take a moment to extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated linemen and other service personnel who worked tirelessly around the clock to restore power to countless residents and business owners. Thank you for keeping our community strong. Your efforts inspire us all.

💔 In Loving Memory 💔

Dear friends and valued clients,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Marnie's beloved father, who was not only a cherished family member but also a distinguished judge. We extend our deepest condolences and support to Marnie and her family during this incredibly difficult time.

Throughout the past few weeks, Marnie has been by her family's side, providing love, care, and support as they navigated through this challenging process. We are immensely grateful for the patience and understanding shown by all of you while Marnie devoted her attention to her family's needs.

Marnie's commitment to her work and her dedication to serving our clients have never wavered, even amidst personal hardship. We are truly blessed to have her as a vital part of our team, and we admire her strength and resilience during this period.

We are thrilled to congratulate our team member Jordyn's husband, Timothy, on his new position as Head Varsity Boys Basketball and Golf Coach for Valwood School! This is an incredible achievement and we are so proud of him. We know that Timothy has worked hard for this opportunity and we are excited to see what he will accomplish in this role. Congratulations again! 🏀⛳️

Upon the recommendation of Athletic Director, Brett Martin and Head of School, John Davis, Timothy Finlayson, has been named the new Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach and Varsity Golf Coach for Valwood School. He will also be working in our math department.

Coach Finlayson is from Monticello, Florida where he attended Aucilla Christian Academy. After high school, he attended Shorter University, where he played NCAA Division II basketball and golf. While at Shorter, Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. Next, he attended Valdosta State University where he completed his master’s degree in business administration. While at VSU, he was the men’s basketball graduate assistant coach.

Tim and his wife Jordyn will celebrate their one-year anniversary this month. We are excited to see Coach Finlayson lead the Valiants to victory on the court, on the course, and in the classroom!

Great news everyone! We are delighted to announce that our very own Meredith Burton has landed her first job in her field of study and we couldn't be more proud of her. As a Legal Intern at South Georgia Trust + Estate for the past two years, Meredith has gained invaluable experience and made significant contributions to our firm.
