What to do if ICE shows up at your house

With ICE’s aggressive deportation agenda, this has become an increasing concern. Here is what you do:
1. Stay calm
2. Ask them to identify themselves and the reason they are at your house
3. Ask for a warrant (a judicial warrant grants them permission to enter, an ICE warrant only allows them to arrest without permission to enter)

Omar Abdulkadir Artan, Somali World Cup referee arrived in Miami from Istanbul with a valid US visa but was pulled aside for an 11-hour secondary inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
He was ultimately deemed inadmissible under the Immigration and Nationality Act and put on a flight back to Turkey

Having a US Visa only grants you permission to travel to the US border to seek entry into the US, it does not guarantee admission

The Trump administration has just reversed a travel ban affecting nationals from 39 different countries for foreign trained doctors only.

This decision was motivated by foreign doctors serving in underserved areas which is an issue of national interest to the United States.

So the Department of homeland security had to make an exemption for foreign doctors already in the United States working in the medical field who are now able to have their applications adjudicated so that they can remain and continue working in the United States
