Today honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s enduring legacy of justice, dignity, and respect for every worker.
His fight for civil rights included standing with Memphis sanitation workers who risked their jobs to demand safer conditions, fair pay, and basic human respect. These were the workers who marched with “I Am a Man” signs, calling on the nation to recognize their humanity as well as their labor.
The same values of safety, fairness, and security that animated that struggle are also reflected in today’s workers’ compensation system, which exists to protect injured workers and their families with medical care and financial support when work causes harm.
Every worker deserves protection. Every injury deserves proper care. Every claim deserves fair, knowledgeable representation.
At Terry Katz & Associates, we carry forward that commitment to justice by fighting to help injured workers obtain the benefits and medical treatment they’ve earned under New York law, so they can focus on healing and rebuilding their lives.
