Subject: Important 2025 Tax Update:
New Car Loan Interest Deduction🚗

Hi Taxpayers,

If you purchased a new vehicle in 2025, you may be eligible for a significant new federal tax break!

You can now deduct interest paid on qualifying car loans on your 2025 tax return—even if you take the standard deduction and do not itemize.

Key Qualifications for 2025:

The Vehicle Must Be New: Only vehicles where the original use starts with you are eligible.
Used vehicles DO NOT qualify, even if they are "new to you."

Made in America: The vehicle must have undergone "final assembly" in the United States.

Recovery Rebate Credit

The IRS reminds taxpayers who may be eligible for the COVID-era Recovery Rebate Credit in 2020 that time is running out to file a tax return and claim their money.
Taxpayers owed a refund have three years after the filing due date to file and claim any money entitled to them.
For 2020 tax returns, this year’s deadline is May 17, three years after the original May 17, 2021, tax deadline.

This year the IRS has improved the Energy-Efficient Home Improvement Credit:

This credit increased from 10% of the purchase price of certain qualified energy-efficient improvements up to 30% of the cost. If you added new windows or doors to your home during 2023, the credit could be up to $1,200 this year. If you installed a qualified heat pump, biomass stove or biomass boiler, the credit could be up to $2,000. The other important change to note is that there is no longer a lifetime dollar limit to these credits. In previous years, there was a lifetime limit of $500. Now, you could potentially get a $1,200 credit every year if you had qualified purchases.
