Do you know the difference between a notary public and a notary signing agent? 🤔
A notary public is a person who is authorized by the state to witness and verify the identity of the signers of certain documents, such as deeds, contracts, affidavits, etc. A notary public can also administer oaths and affirmations.
A notary signing agent is a specialized type of notary public who is trained and certified to handle loan documents for real estate transactions. A notary signing agent can also explain the terms and conditions of the loan to the borrowers and ensure that they sign the documents correctly.
Both types of notaries play an important role in ensuring the validity and legality of various transactions. However, not all notaries are qualified to be signing agents, and not all signing agents are authorized to perform all types of notarizations.
