What goes together better than football, beer, and wings? This is the perfect game day recipe!

Serves 6-8

Ingredients:
Oil, for frying
1 cup stout beer
1 cup buffalo hot sauce
3 tablespoons butter
3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
¼ cup water
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 pound chicken wings (about 24)
Celery sticks, on the side
Carrot sticks, on the side
Blue cheese or ranch dressing, for dipping

Instructions:
1. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, whisk together beer, buffalo sauce, butter, garlic, and brown sugar until simmering, about 4–5 minutes. Whisk cornstarch with ¼ cup of water. Pour in cornstarch mixture, and whisk until slightly thickened. Add in the Worcestershire sauce, and stir. Remove from heat, and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a fryer or Dutch oven to 350°F.
3. Drain wings, and pat dry with a paper towel. Gently place wings into the fryer in small batches. Fry for 6–8 minutes or until crispy and cooked through. Remove from the fryer, and place in a bowl.
4. Toss wings with sauce, and serve with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and blue cheese or ranch dressing.
Tip: You can cook the chicken wings in the oven instead of deep frying. Preheat oven to 400°F, and cook for 12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Most people think a newly built home costs more than an existing one. But right now, that’s actually backwards.

Why Buyers Shouldn't Overlook a Fall Move

Of course, every market moves a little differently. But here's what doesn't change: Fall consistently buyers. More homes. Lower asking prices. Motivated sellers.

If you’ve been waiting for your search to feel a little more doable, this season may be worth another look.

Let’s have a quick conversation about what's happening in our market and see whether this fall gives you opportunities you may not have had a few months ago.

Have you seen the headlines about using your 401(k) to cover a down payment?

Tapping it can feel like an easy call, especially if you’ve got a good chunk saved up. But pulling from retirement early can trigger penalties and set back the savings you'll want later on.

But you don’t necessarily have to raid your retirement to buy a home. You’ve got other options, like FHA loans, which let qualified buyers put down as little as 3.5%. And down payment assistance programs can help, too.

So, before you touch your 401(k), talk with a trusted financial advisor. They can help you find the option that fits your goals and your budget.

Funny how this business works sometimes. ✨

I've admired this agent's work for a while now — followed her, cheered her on, told her more than once how much I respect what she does. We'd never actually worked together... our paths had just crossed here and there.

Yesterday she sent me a referral. A past client of hers, someone she helped sell her CT home when she made the move to MA, is now considering selling that MA house. And instead of keeping it in-house, she thought of me.

Her exact words: "I figured I'd refer her to another Heather :)."

I'm still smiling about that one. 😄

This is why I love this industry — the agents who lift each other up instead of competing, who trust their people with someone else when it's the right fit. That kind of respect means everything to me.

To the client: I can't wait to meet you on Friday and help you with this next chapter.

From one Heather to another… thank you. Truly.
