The ETX Famly Law Firm offers a broad range of legal services in family law matters. The ideal candidate for this position will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing administrative and legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will be a primary point of contact for the law firm and handle all administrative matters within the office.
This individual will also be responsible for assisting in developing case facts through informal and formal discovery under supervision of the firm’s lawyer.
This individual must be self-motivated, confident, and capable of working with all types of people and personalities. Extrovert qualities are preferred.
ETX Family Law prioritizes leveraging technology so if you are not comfortable with computers and technology, then you will not be a fit for this position.
This position does not require any specific experience in the legal industry. Training will be provided.
The position is in the office full time, Monday-Friday, from 8:30AM until 5:00PM. The office atmosphere is relaxed and casual as this is a family first law firm.
Pay may be hourly or salary based depending on experience and qualifications. Paid federal holidays. 2 weeks paid vacation each year after 6 months. No medical or retirement benefits are offered at this time.

Responsibilities:
• Provide a mix of secretarial and legal assistant services under the supervision of a lawyer
• Serve as primary point of contact for the law firm handling communication with clients, prospective clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties
• Perform all administrative tasks in the office
• Manage both paper and electronic files
• Work directly with clients to develop case facts
• Conduct informal and formal discovery
• Assist in trial preparation of exhibits and visual aids
Qualifications:
• Empathetic
• Outstanding communication skills
• Able to interact effectively with different personality types
• Comfortable with technology and computers
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience creating graphics and visual aids
• Good driving record required
• Experience with Clio practice management software a plus
