Tomorrow at VA Long Beach! 🇺🇸⚖️

For August only, Keystone Law Group, P.C. is taking over the Wadeck Hyman Legal Clinic to provide free legal guidance to eligible veterans.

Veterans can consult with a volunteer attorney regarding a variety of civil legal matters, including eviction, discharge upgrades, family law, bankruptcy, expungement, estate planning, and other areas.

A wonderful evening of community, generosity, and support for our veterans! 🇺🇸⛳️

Veterans Legal Institute extends our heartfelt gratitude to Lee Goldberg and Richard J. Ward, CFP® for co-hosting our Fore! Our Veterans BBQ & Putting Tourney and for the incredible time, energy, and generosity they poured into bringing this special event together.

We were also honored to have Brendan Ford start the evening with a powerful performance of the National Anthem, setting the tone for a memorable night dedicated to honoring and supporting those who have served our country. 🇺🇸

It was inspiring to see veterans, community leaders, supporters, friends, and volunteers come together for a shared purpose: advancing VLI’s mission to provide free legal services to veterans and military families in need. Every dollar raised helps VLI continue providing critical legal assistance to veterans facing challenges such as housing instability, accessing the benefits they’ve earned, employment barriers, and other legal needs.

Veterans Legal Institute is seeking passionate law students interested in partnering with us through the 2027 Equal Justice Works Fellowship.

As the nation’s first public interest law firm dedicated exclusively to serving veterans, VLI provides fellows with meaningful opportunities to gain hands-on legal experience, receive mentorship from experienced attorneys, and advocate for low-income veterans, active-duty service members, and military families throughout Southern California.

Whether your passion is veterans benefits advocacy, housing stability, military discharge upgrades, family law, estate planning, or another area of public interest, we welcome innovative fellowship proposals that expand access to justice for those who have served.

Last Wednesday, Veterans Legal Institute was honored to participate in the VA Stand Down & Homeless Veteran Resource Fair at Long Beach City College.

Hosted annually by the VA Long Beach, this event brings together organizations from across the community to connect Veterans, Reservists, and members of the National Guard—regardless of discharge status—with essential resources, referrals, employment opportunities, education, benefits, and supportive services.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Long Beach VA for once again organizing this impactful event and bringing together so many organizations dedicated to serving those who have served our country. Events like these are a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when communities unite with a shared mission: ensuring every veteran is seen, supported, and connected to the resources they deserve.
