It was an honor to participate in the CalGuard A CO Resource Fair in Fullerton, where our team had the opportunity to share legal resources and information with California National Guard service members and their families. Events like these help ensure that our military community knows they are not alone and that support is available when challenges arise.

We are especially grateful to Licenia Cruz, Military & Family Readiness Specialist with CalGuard - J9 Joint Resiliency, for the invitation and partnership. As Licenia shared, “Having amazing community partners like Veteran’s Legal Institute come out and showcase their resources is a great way to let the soldiers know they are not alone with their struggles and concerns.”

It’s always an honor for Veterans Legal Institute to connect with and serve our community! 🇺🇸

We were proud to participate in the California National Guard Veterans Resource Fair, an event that brought together approximately 190 attendees, including veterans, service members, and National Guard personnel. The resource fair focused on providing valuable mental health, legal, and financial resources to those who have served.

Thank you to the California National Guard for hosting this important event and for helping connect our military community with the support and services they deserve. We look forward to continuing our mission of empowering veterans and their families through advocacy, education, and access to justice.

Memorial Day is more than barbecues, beach days, or a long weekend away from work. It is a sacred reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Today, we pause to honor those heroes, reflect on the freedoms we so often take for granted, and remember the families who continue to carry their legacy each and every day.

This Memorial Day, and every day, may we never forget the cost of freedom. May we live with gratitude, humility, and honor in remembrance of those who gave everything so we could live freely. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
