🍚 Old-Fashioned Creamy Rice Pudding

Rich, creamy, and comforting—the kind of simple old-fashioned dessert that tastes even better with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Ingredients:

* 1 cup white rice
* 4 cups whole milk
* 3/4 cup sugar
* 2 eggs
* 2 Tbsp butter
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1/2 cup raisins

Directions:
Cook the rice until tender. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the cooked rice with the milk and sugar. Cook gently, stirring often, until thick and creamy.

Beat the eggs in a small bowl. Slowly whisk in a little of the hot rice mixture to temper them, then stir the egg mixture back into the saucepan. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, without letting it boil.

Remove from the heat and stir in the butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and raisins. Serve warm or chilled with a little extra cinnamon on top.
