Happy New Year!!

I have performed my one and only ceremony from now until June. I will be having surgery at the end of January so I will definitely be taking February & possibly March off from any elopements as well. I will revisit my time frame as I heal, but for now I am focusing on doing just that.

Don’t be afraid to shoot me a message to discuss any plans or to chat & I look forward to rejoining the love stories soon!!

Since November we have performed 4 LGBTQ+ ceremonies & done 7 elopements. While we do have permission to share photos of some of the unions, I am choosing to simply say this:

I love love. I celebrate love. There is no reality that I can foresee where that will change. There’s a wonderful book about why I do what I do, and why I am how I am. Crack It open sometime, it does more in use than it does for show.

Love is love, and I will continue to celebrate it to every extent possible. 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

If you are a q***r couple wanting to get married before January 20th, I will gladly officiate at no cost. I have always celebrated ALL love stories & will continue to do so. It has been my honor to serve the Tulsa & Grand Lake areas since 2007 & have celebrated the beautiful diversity every step of the way.

It may not always feel like it in the coming months and years, but love always wins.

I recently encountered a little passive hostility because I’m not a “church officiant”, so I want to share what kind of officiant I feel I am:

First off, I was ordained, albeit online, in 2007 by Universal Life Church, and according to them, I AM a minister. That said, I am NOT a preacher. I am not here to stand in front of an alter and pour hellfire and brimstone down on my couples. I am not here to dedicate a significant chunk of a wedding celebration to preachy stuff that anyone of these guests can hear on Sunday. At their church. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am here to speak words of love over your love story. I am here to recognize who you are as an individual as well as who you are as a couple. I am here to help you tell your love story however you dream it. My God is a god of love and grace so I am also here to offer prayer and blessings for that. I want your love story to have laughter. I want your love story to be uniquely yours without forcing a sermon on anyone.

It is truly an honor to get to participate in such an incredible moment, & I am so grateful to continue to serve the Tulsa metro & Grand Lake areas!

When I think of fairy tales, I think of the stories of bravery & overcoming insurmountable odds to find "happily ever after". They've never been just stories of romanticized fantasies. They've never been "unobtainable" to anyone. They are the stories of knowing what you want in life, of acknowledging your own worth, and striving to achieve that end goal. Yes, we slay dragons, we defeat evil... and we never quit. Today we are celebrating the pure love that emerges from two tenacious, strong people who are today, joining forces to surround their little family in nothing but love & peace.

It was such an honor and a blessing to have been able to unite these two today. Cheers 🥂 Lijah & Trinidy Williams (and welcome to the family sweet girl!! You are loved!!!)

Building Family

I was so blessed to personally join this family almost 4 years ago. As in, I married into it. These are quite literally, MY people. My people honored me by asking me to cement in new family & BOY HOWDY what an experience.

I have a newfound respect for any officiant who can perform a ceremony for a loved one without tears. I did not manage this feat. To be fair, the love in this space was palpable, & I was profoundly aware of my own twin flame sitting feet from me so… the emotions were mighty powerful. Still, I got thru it (genuinely patting myself on the back).

Thank you Steph & Jamey for letting me write the first few words in your new life chapter. I love both of you & all 4 of those greats of mine. Prost 🥂 to a lifetime of laughter & joy. I am honored to have had this part in your love story!!
