I tried a medical neglect jury trial this week. Husband & wife charged. Tonight the jury found them not guilty. I am beyond grateful to the jury for taking their oath seriously & putting in the work. Tonight my soul is at peace knowing the justice system worked.

Recently I have had three different individuals who had warrants for their arrests on cases they had no idea existed. These are “law abiding” citizens who had charges filed without any type of investigation or forewarning. Police can & do use the word of someone else as evidence in presenting charges to the District Attorney. A routine background check for work is how two of them discovered the issue.

This type of issue will cause the people above to lose their jobs. It’s important to keep an eye on your record & to hire an attorney who can help you navigate the criminal justice system.

Today I had the honor of doing my very first adoption. No, I don’t normally do these, but a very near and dear friend asked me and I couldn’t say no.

I had the blessing to be adopted by my dad as an adult the day before I married my husband. That’s why I hyphenated my last name. To pay homage to the first man to love me unconditionally and the second man.

Today as I hugged Alexis I told her we were special because our daddy’s chose us.

Thank you so incredibly much for allowing me this honor Elliott family. I love you all & I am so grateful my family was able to be there to support you all!
