The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said scammers are once again pretending to be deputies and telling people they have a warrant out for their arrest because they missed a court date or jury duty.

Tulsa Municipal Court is providing two amnesty sessions for citizens who have outstanding citations for parking and traffic violations.

Parking Amnesty, June 6 - June 10, 2022

The first amnesty session will be limited to parking tickets. Currently, the City has 82,000 unpaid parking citations.

During the parking amnesty period, the vehicle owner or driver will be allowed to pay the preset parking fine at Tulsa City Hall or Tulsa Municipal Court without late fees or warrant fees. If unable to pay citation(s) in full, a request can be made to see a judge to setup a payment plan; identification is needed.

Individuals can request to see a judge by visiting the Municipal Courts Office, Court Records, Room 228, between 8-10 a.m. daily, which will grant individuals the opportunity to get added to a docket to setup a payment plan.


Moving Violation Amnesty, June 13 – June 17, 2022

The second amnesty session will be limited to traffic and non-parking violations. The City currently has 108,000 citations in warrant status.

During this amnesty period, individuals will be allowed to pay their citations in full without any late fees or warrant fees directly with a cashier. If unable to pay fines in full, individuals can see a Judge to set up a payment plan. A dedicated judge will be available at Municipal Court from 8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. during this amnesty week.

If an individual received a citation for no/expired driver’s license, no/expired tag, or no/expired insurance, they should bring proof of current, active status to be considered for a low-or-no cost dismissal. If a fine was assessed by a judge and an individual failed to pay the fine, they will need to see a judge.

You can pay in person at the two below locations. If you need to see a judge, that must be done in Municipal Court at 600 Civic Center.

I see parental alienation more and more these days. Often the parent doing it has no concept of the harm they are doing, but feel completely justified.

When parents take steps to end their marriages, the default arrangement for children should be shared parenting. Psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, lawyers, and judges can help parents avoid irreparable harm.
