It’s hard to put into words what it meant to stand with our community and celebrate the life of Viola Ford Fletcher. To me, she was more than a client, she was a guiding light, a living testament to resilience, and one of the last living survivors of the Tulsa Race Massacre. At 111 years old, Mother Fletcher’s wisdom, grace, and courage in the face of unimaginable injustice shaped who I am and fueled my commitment to justice.

As I honor her memory, I feel an even deeper responsibility to carry her story forward and continue the fight for justice for Greenwood. Rest in power, Mother Fletcher. Your legacy lives on in my work and in the hearts of all you touched.
