On Tuesday, the Board of Advocates hosted our End-of-Year Banquet, celebrating the competitors, coaches, judges, and volunteers who made this year of competition such a success.

The evening concluded with a passing of the torch from outgoing President Erica Holt to President-elect Kobe Wicklund. Thank you to everyone who contributed to such an outstanding year, we look forward to seeing you again in the fall!

This weekend the Board of Advocates had the privilege of hosting our annual Hager Torts competition. This was a Moot court style competition where students presented appellate style arguments. Our winner of the competition was Harry Panagopoulos, the runner up was Grant McClendon with Gregory Shelton and Garrett Carrigan coming in third and fourth.

Thank you to all our competitors, bailiffs, and judges. We had a great year of BOA events and couldn’t have done it without all of you!

Unfortunately, due to the impending snowstorm Chili Fest will not be happening this Friday evening (1/23).

At this time, we do not yet have a new date, as we are working to coordinate availability with the event space.

We will share rescheduling details as soon as they are finalized. This will hopefully give our competitors more time to work on their chili recipes!

The Board of Advocates hosted our brand-new moot court competition this past Saturday!

We are proud to announce the winners of the competition were Gregory Shelton and Garrett Carrigan! The runners up were Renner Howell and Emilie Carey.

Thank you to all the students who came out to compete and our amazing judges who volunteered their time to make this a great event!

This was the last BOA competition this semester, but we have several exciting opportunities planned for the spring and hope to see you all

We are thrilled to share that our BOA National Health Law Moot Court Competition team, Brayden Oglesby and Allie Morrison were the overall champions for the competition!

Brayden and Allie were also named first and second best oralists of the competition as well as winning second best brief!

We are incredibly proud of all their hard work! Big shout out to all that have supported them, especially their coaches Leslie Weeks and Kirsten Pfeiffer.
