FAA action could cost you your pilot's license β even after you've already dealt with the state or local case.
Dillan Savage of Wirth Law Office (practicing primarily in the Oklahoma City area) explains: if you're convicted of, or have violated, an Oklahoma aviation law, the FAA can take a range of steps β anything from mere warnings, to fines and fees, to having your license or certificate suspended, or even completely revoked. And here's the key part: dealing with state or local punishments does NOT mean it stops there. Because there are separate federal laws and procedures in place, the FAA may take its own federal action against you as well.
