This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Mulembo Law stands in solidarity with our Indigenous brothers and sisters.
Here in Southern Arizona, that solidarity includes standing with the Tohono O’odham Nation as the current administration sends armed federal agents and border-wall contractors onto tribal lands over the Nation’s objections.
Indigenous lands, sacred places, and sovereignty deserve respect. Indigenous voices deserve to be heard, and their opposition deserves more than dismissal.
Today, we honor Indigenous cultures, resilience, and living communities. We stand with their right to protect their homelands and shape their own futures.
