National adoption day at juvenile court and aside from many happy families, there were princesses there. Thanks to Giving a Little Arizona Magic, a UA nonprofit, for wowing the kids and adults as well.

It has been a long time since we have been able to have a family adopt a child in person, in court. However, this Thursday it happened for the first time since March of 2020.

Congratulations to this wonderful family who completed their journey this week. It was a treat to help out.

Even though the world has been dealing with COVID, adoptions have continued to take place. Sorry we haven’t had the opportunity to post pics, but at least you can see the joy of this new family who finished up their adoption today.

Adoptions are still happening at juvenile court but alas we are not quite yet doing them in person. We were thrilled to help out this family with their second adoption. We could not be happier for them. I am pictured wearing the shirt they made for adoption number one.

Life in the midst of a global pandemic has been challenging for all of us. I know the world is anxious to get back to normal. Even with the chaos, some things remain constant. The most important of these is those we love. We did an adoption for this beautiful family last year and just recently had the absolute honor of making the little cutie in the yellow dress an official part of her forever family too. I didn’t think these guys could be any more fantastic. I was wrong. It’s these bonds that prove we will all get through this, we will rise above, and come out the other side even better. Love is really the only thing that matters in the end.

And even in the midst of chaos, love will out. We got to do this adoption for a little man and his amazing family. This one was a little bit different because this tid bit has unfortunately been sick and needed a medical treatment ASAP. We had to be creative for sure. So with the help of the adoption worker, and the judge, and the Court staff, everyone pulled together and got it done. The first pic is his mama, his adoption worker and myself signing adoption papers socially distantly the day before the hearing. These days our adoptions are all by phone so the family was kind enough to send me a pic of everyone in the moment during our hearing the next day. Check out the adorable shirts they had made for the happy occasion. We wish them all happiness and health and congratulate them on their newly expanded village. ❤️

Late adoption day update for May 21, 2020. We were pleased as can be to be part of two adoptions this Thursday. The nice young man in the solo picture was adopted by two very sweet people. The family on the bottom is freshly official as well. Thanks to both of the families for allowing us to play a small part in this process.

Another happy adoption day in this time of troubles. This little lady was adopted by her loving mother yesterday and we were very happy to play a small role in finalizing this adoption. The picture is posted with permission of the mother.

We also participated in a second adoption but didn’t get a chance to receive a photo yet. The adoptions are being done telephonically and though they are not as fun as in person, the end result remains the same: a happy new family.

Adoptions must go on even in the time of pandemic. We were fortunate enough to help these two lovely people become an official family today. As has been the case for the past weeks, the adoption was done by phone so that everyone can keep safe. Congratulations to this wonderful family.

Thursday is still adoption day even during a global pandemic. This family was ready for their adoption and were taking appropriate safety measures! Not to worry, the adoption was done by phone. A second adoption for a nice family was also done, sadly no picture.

Even in difficult times Thursday can still be adoption day. It was tricky, the whole proceeding was done by phone with people scattered around town, but when it was all said and done two different adoptions were finished and this crew became one giant family. Congratulations!
