⛸️ Hearing loss takes to the ice with 23-year-old Georgian Olympics ice dancer Diana Davis and her partner/husband Gleb Smolkin. Diana's bilateral sensorineural hearing loss resulted from an incorrect dosage of antibiotics at age two. Her coordination was affected, and the resulting safety concerns when performing jumps led to a switch from single figure skating to ice dance in 2016. Read Diana's story:

We’ve been notified by multiple families that Katie Beckett Medicaid was suddenly terminated without any prior warning. We don’t yet know why this happened, but it appears to be affecting many people. We suspect that inidividuals who were on a pending status were terminated.

Join the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities AAIDD for a virtual information session on the Supports Intensity Scale - Adult Version, also known as SIS-A 2nd edition. This assessment is an important step forward in the work of identifying support needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The SIS-A is a standardized assessment designed to measure the relative intensity of supports that a person with I/DD needs to fully participate in community life. The informational session will provide an overview of the SIS-A, its purpose and content, and differences between the revised SIS-A, 2nd edition, and the previous editions.
