Congratulations to the Triad High School track team on winning their first ever state championship! Please feel free to cheer them on as we es**rt them through town. The route will be Edwardsville Rd (near Dunkin), south on Main, and then east on US 40. ETA on their arrival is roughly 8pm. This post will be updated as they get closer to town.

On May 7, 2026, the Troy Police Explorers attended the Illinois Peace Officer Memorial in Springfield. It was a meaningful experience for the Explorers as they honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. The ceremony provided an opportunity for the Explorers to reflect on the dedication, courage, and selflessness displayed by law enforcement officers across the state of Illinois.
