The Resident Student Association is an organization comprised of representatives from all of the residence halls on campus who advocate for the interests and welfare of resident students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. RSA provides opportunities for members' personal growth and development through programming in the residence halls and on campus, and participating in regional and national conferences. It is an organization of students committed to developing leadership, honoring diversity, and recognizing achievement, as well as stimulating engagement and involvement among all students. Each year, RSA hosts a Navigating Rensselaer and Beyond (NRB) day trip, Puckman's Pursuit, the NRB CommUniversity event, a Casino Night, Operation: Lucky Duck, Hey Red Go Green, and the end-of-the-year Spring Fling. Additionally, each residence hall group throws parties, game tournaments, and other social and philanthropic events throughout the year. We welcome new members throughout the year!

For his awesome contributions to the residence hall in the month of October, we would like to spotlight our member Jayson Mintz!

Here's a little about Jayson:

Major, Class Year, Hall Council Position: Mechanical Engineering Major, Electrical Engineering Minor, Class of 2022, Quad Hall Council Chairman

Favorite part of being a member of RSA: Being able to participate in and help plan a wide range of events!

Best Hall Council program he's planned: The Freshman Hill Smash Bros. Tournament. A lot of the freshman councils planned it together and they had a large attendance, which is his favorite thing to see after planning an event

Favorite campus-wide RSA event: Casino Night! He went last year and it was a blast, he learned how to play some games he's never played before and even won a cool prize at the end of the night

What he'd like to share to fellow RPI students: If you haven’t gone to an RSA or hall council event, he highly recommends going to one as they are a lot of fun and great ways to meet new people who you live with
