Brody's Bricks, Inc is a non-profit organization based here in Eagle, Idaho! My son Brody started it three years ago while receiving treatment at St. Luke's Children's Cancer Institute in Boise. He overheard a little boy asking if there were any LEGO sets he hadn't already built. Brody asked if we could donate some when we finished his infusion. Absolutely!

We are now partnered with Bricknowlogy - Build Your Mind and Bricks and Minifigs Boise as well as so many wonderful people throughout the community to bring new LEGO®️ sets to our local children's hospitals. This all started with our common love of bricks. It's so much more than just LEGO. It's a positive distraction from childhood cancer. A moment to create something cool. It's building smiles together 💛🎗

Let's make this Idaho Gives amazing together! 100% of our profits go towards new LEGO sets for St. Luke's Children's Cancer Institute in Boise.

Today kicks off Idaho Gives! This is such an incredible event that goes from April 29- May 2nd. Every year, Idahoans come together to celebrate and give back to our local non-profits. Non-profits depend on our community support to continue doing what we do.

Our journey with Brody's Bricks, Inc. has been nothing short of phenomenal because of you! Yesterday, we took a walk along Cesar Chavez Lane near Boise State. My boys are both taking business courses this summer so they can continue the non-profit together.

Brody's Bricks has done more than built smiles for our community. It has given my son a purpose in his heart. He has shared that purpose with so many wonderful people and lit a fire in the heart of Idaho one LEGO®️ set at a time 💛🎗

A victim's reasons for staying with their abusers are extremely complex and, in most cases, are based on the reality that their abuser will follow through with the threats they have used to keep them trapped: the abuser will hurt or kill them, they will hurt or kill the kids, they will win custody of the children, they will harm or kill pets or others, they will ruin their victim financially -- the list goes on.

Being a supportive friend or family member can mean the difference between staying or leaving. No matter how hard it may be, it's incredibly important to stay supportive!

Idaho Legal Empowerment & Advocacy Program is ready to help victims and survivors of domestic violence stand up to their abusers when they are ready and able to say NO MORE!

This Wednesday, October 4th, the federal government will be testing the Emergency Broadcast System. Many abused individuals keep a secret phone as a lifeline - and if these phones are on during the test, they will make a VERY LOUD sound - risking the abuser finding out about the phone.

If you or someone you know has a phone they don't want their abuser finding out about, it's important to make sure the phone is off or otherwise away from the abuser on Wednesday. Here in Boise, this test is expected to occur at 12:20 p.m. and last for about one minute. If the phone is off or in airplane mode, it will not receive the alert.

Your phone could belt out a terrifying emergency alert sound. Here's when it's going to happen and why we can't play the sound for you.

Last evening, downtown Boise experienced significant rainfall in a short period of time. As a result, the Sonna Building, where Idaho LEAP is located, experienced a significant amount of flooding. Our office is significantly damaged and will require extensive remediation and restoration.

Unfortunately, the overall damage is so significant that I will need to temporarily relocate. As a result, the office itself will be closed until further notice. With any luck, I'll have space available in the next 7-10 days.
