Captain’s Log:
It’s been some time since I’ve written one of my “Captain’s Log”. Happy Mother’s Day to my fellow Captains!
The rare day of the year the natives endeavor to go along with their Female Captains, allegedly without any grief or complaint Clad in my Ma tank top, I pondered that throughout any given week, as an attorney, I am so used to being called “counselor”, ”counsel“, or “Attorney Howell”, “Vivian”, and other fun descriptive names when I’m fiercely advocating for my clients!
But the best names I get called each day, the ones I look forward to hearing, are:
Ma
Mama
Mom
And even Bruh!
— well sometimes! 🤣 I miss “mommy”
To me, the best role is that of a parent. Whether a mother or a father, it is the most challenging yet most rewarding role a person can ever have! I am grateful to have had this role for almost 17 years. Every up, every down, every twist, every turn, and every pivot is always worth it to be with my two natives. I love you both so much more than you can ever imagine! Thank you for giving me this role!
