Property tax notices are hitting mailboxes in Montgomery County 📬

If you’ve received your Notice of Appraised Value, now’s the time to review it carefully.

This is your chance to protest the assessed value if something doesn’t look right, and it can also help you estimate what your property taxes may look like next year.

One important thing to remember is that your assessed value and market value are NOT the same.

🏡 Market Value = what a buyer is willing to pay
📄 Assessed Value = what the county uses to calculate taxes

While 2026 tax rates aren’t finalized yet, you can still use last year’s rates to get a pretty good estimate of what to expect.
