A bit of a sensationalist headline to drive in readers, but the article is pretty interesting... despite it being September's numbers. This is a trend we've seen locally as well.

The number of homes yanked from the market surged 28% in September as many sellers opted to delist rather than accept a lower asking price.

This is sad news for our city. Adding 420 residential units, which since most families have at least two cars, that will be 840 additional cars to an already highly congested offramp and road. I wish our city leaders would grow a backbone and stand up to Sacramento and their "you must build housing, regardless of it's impact on your city" mentality. Too bad the California Association of Realtors is so myopic that they sue any city that doesn't comply with Glorious Leader Newsom's demands.

After unexpected delays to clean up site, construction is expected to begin this summer on the T.O. Ranch development in Thousand Oaks.

It was a good time participating in the ARRL Field Day 24 hour emergency communications drill and contest. Surpassed my score from last year, which is always a pleasant thing, especially in light of the difficulties with the radio bands this year.

Got to attend a Luau yesterday in the Serra Retreat area of Malibu that was put on by AREAA, The Asian Real Estate Association of America's Ventura County Chapter. Great time, great hula dancing, and got to tour a $35 million dollar home in this secluded and gated neighborhood.
