Meet Joanna Hutchins, founding partner at Moore Hutchins Moore.

Joanna has spent her entire legal career representing elderly and dependent adults who have been abused or neglected by those entrusted with their care. Her passion for this work began while studying Criminology, Law, and Society at UC Irvine. During an internship with the Public Defender’s Office, Joanna helped provide a voice for the voiceless, a commitment that has remained at the heart of her practice ever since.

Joanna first joined the firm as a law clerk in 2014 while attending Pepperdine School of Law, where she graduated cm laude in the top 15% of her class. After law school, she spent two years practicing elder abuse and neglect law in Ventura before returning to the firm.

We’re proud to have Joanna’s experience, thoughtfulness, and dedication behind the work we do at Moore Hutchins Moore. If you have questions about a potential elder abuse or neglect case, reach out to us today: https://ow.ly/JCYU50ZQZ7k

If you suspect a loved one may have experienced medical malpractice, start by documenting your concerns and preserving any information that may help explain what happened.

A serious injury or poor outcome does not automatically mean medical malpractice, but families should not assume that something was unavoidable without asking questions.

Recently, Sarina Marlin joined the ROAR walk in Los Angeles, advocating for meaningful reform in long-term care. Sarina also spoke at the event, sharing her perspective and helping give a voice to some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

For more than 50 years, residents, families, and frontline workers have raised concerns about neglect in long-term care, yet meaningful change has been slow. ROAR was created to bring these stories into the public conversation and push for the change that long-term care needs.

We’re proud to support Susie Singer Carter and the work she is doing to reform long-term care and advocate for victims. It was an honor to sponsor this nationwide walk and stand alongside others calling for change. Have concerns about elder abuse or neglect? Contact us here: https://ow.ly/yGxM50ZQYeo

When a family comes to us with concerns about elder abuse or neglect, they deserve to understand what is happening at every stage of their case.

Elder abuse litigation can be complex, but communication should never leave families feeling like they are in the dark. We believe in taking the time to listen, answer questions, and help our clients understand the path ahead while we advocate for their loved one.

Meet Anne Katharine Moore, founding partner at Moore Hutchins Moore.

Anne has been practicing law since 2006, with a career focused on elder abuse, neglect, and medical malpractice. Her work is rooted in a commitment to people who too often cannot stand up for themselves. Anne brings extensive trial experience to her cases while taking the time to develop strong, trusting relationships with the families she represents. She has also contributed to the American Association for Justice Trial magazine and is a member of the AAJ Nursing Home Litigation Group and California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform.

We’re proud to have Anne’s experience and dedication behind the work we do at Moore Hutchins Moore.

Under California law, the difference between negligence and elder abuse can be significant .

While both may involve harm caused by inadequate care, elder abuse claims involve additional legal requirements and may provide different remedies for vulnerable adults and their families.

Understanding which type of claim may apply requires looking closely at the circumstances and care provided.

If you have questions about a loved one’s care or believe they may have experienced elder abuse or neglect, contact our team: https://ow.ly/YeZZ50ZBxEO
