When a parent realizes their Child Custody Order no longer meets the needs of their children, sometimes the only solution is court. This week, Attorney Serenity Korin helped a mom of multiple medically complex children find safety and stability with a new Custody Order.

Ms. Korin successfully litigated a highly contested Motion to Modify Child Custody and secured a new custody arrangement for our client. Mom was granted the time and authority she needed to prioritize the children’s health and wellbeing.

Though, every case is different and results vary, Child Custody litigation - including Motions to Modify Child Custody - can be complicated and difficult to navigate. When the stakes are this high, you need skilled and zealous representation.

When Courtney started this firm - all alone - 12 years ago, she had a dream of becoming a trusted source of legal knowledge in the community. An attorney who solves problems, not creates them. The Davidson County, NC, based law office of Roller Law, PLLC is seeking an Entry Level Paralegal to join our team Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We are an established but growing law firm offering a collaborative, professional setting that prioritizes work-life balance.

Typical job duties to include:
-Answering phones
-Maintaining message and voicemail systems
-Scheduling appointments and maintaining multiple office calendars
-Greeting clients
-Managing intake processes
-Collecting and sorting mail and packages
-Payment processing and light bookkeeping
-Filing, scanning and copying documents
-File and case management
-Monitoring, ordering and stocking office supplies
-Written correspondence
-Provide administrative support to attorneys
-Entry level paralegal work
-Preparing fee applications
-Running basic errands to courthouse, post office, bank etc. . .
-Other duties as assigned

Location:
Downtown Thomasville, North Carolina. Our firm serves clients primarily in Davidson and Randolph Counties. Some local travel for errands will be required.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position will have 2+ years of relevant paralegal, office and/or administrative experience. Prior experience in a law office or courthouse setting is preferred but not required. Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
-Professional demeanor and appearance
-Ability to work independently
-Articulate in verbal and written communications
-Respect for confidentiality and discretion
-Attention to detail
-Positive and upbeat attitude
-Patience in dealing with difficult callers/clients
-Dependability
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
-Experience with Google Drive, Gmail, E-Filing and Case Management Software appreciated and preferred

Hours:
Monday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay Rage:
Hourly: $12 to $14 per hour, based on skills and experience.
