We are accepting resumes for a full-time Legal Assistant/Closing Coordinator. Requirements are as follows:
- Real estate experience is preferred but not required.
- Professional office experience is required.
- Computer experience is required as, position tasks will be in online software and in Microsoft Office programs.
- Attention to detail is vital in this position.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills required.
- Professionalism and discretion are musts.
The Legal Assistant/Closing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Attorney and handling real estate closing procedures such as:
- Communicate with clients, lenders and agents with regard to handling residential and commercial real estate transactions;
- Preparation of Closing Disclosure Forms, in accordance with TILA RESPA Guidelines;
- Preparation of settlement statements, title binders and certificates of title, and other closing documents related to real estate transactions;
- Organization of pre and post-closing procedures;
- Management of real estate closings and handling of other due diligence requirements;
- Oversee incoming emails with prompt responses and handling of respective matters;
- Prepare documents and oversee cases with regard to probate/estate, civil, etc⦠as needed;
- Prepare 1099 tax forms at year-end;
- Manage social media account; and
- Other duties as required in a law office setting.
This position is full-time only and will be approximately 40 hours a week.
