What Is a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR)?

Did you know your water system is required to provide an annual Consumer Confidence Report, also known as a CCR?

A CCR is an important report that gives customers information about:

- Where your drinking water comes from
- What contaminants were tested for
- Water quality test results
- Whether system met EPA and state drinking water standards
- Important health and safety information

For public water systems, the CCR is typically prepared and submitted by the district’s operator and/or water utility management in accordance with state and federal regulations.

These reports help keep communities informed and promote transparency about the quality of their drinking water.

Understanding Additional Penalties on Delinquent Property Taxes in Texas
Did you know that special districts in Texas may apply additional penalties on delinquent property taxes?
Here’s a quick breakdown:

Real Property (Land & Homes)
If real property taxes remain unpaid, districts may impose an additional penalty of up to 20% starting July 1 each year.

Personal Property (Business Property, Equipment, etc.)
For delinquent personal property taxes, an additional penalty of up to 20% may be applied beginning February 1 each year.

Why the Additional Penalty?
These penalties are authorized under the Texas Tax Code and are used to help cover the costs of collection efforts, including fees associated with delinquent tax attorneys.

What This Means for Taxpayers
Staying current on property taxes can help avoid significant additional costs. Once these deadlines pass, the added penalty can substantially increase the total amount owed.
If you have questions about how these penalties may apply to your district or properties, our team is here to help.

We had an amazing evening out with the Spring Creek Utility District at this year’s National Night Out. It was great connecting with residents, local law enforcement, and community partners while supporting water conservation and neighborhood awareness.

The event gave families a chance to meet their neighbors, learn more about how to use water wisely, and enjoy a night centered around safety, connection, and community. Seeing people of all ages stop by to ask questions and share their own water saving ideas was a reminder of how small steps really do make a difference.

Thank you to the Spring Creek Utility District Board, local law enforcement, and all the volunteers who helped bring this event to life. Nights like this remind us what community is built on: trust, service, and shared purpose.
