Adding another one to our case victories folder. 📁 ⚖️

This week, the Court granted our Motion for Summary Judgment, bringing the Will contest against our client to an end before trial.

We represented the Applicant in defending the validity of a Will against allegations of lack of testamentary capacity and undue influence. Rather than proceeding to trial, we filed a Motion for Summary Judgment.

The result? The will contest was dismissed before trial.

Summary judgment is not automatic, and it requires a strong evidentiary record and careful analysis of the facts and law. But when the record supports it, the right motion can resolve a case before the parties ever reach a courtroom.

Every case is different, but this is a great example of why thoughtful litigation strategy matters.

Happy National Intern Day! What a stroke of luck to have Andes Perez with us this summer. A student at UT Dallas and an aspiring attorney, Andres is bright, motivated, and hard working. He was an instrumental part of obtaining a favorable jury verdict yesterday!
