Karen Beyea-Schroeder has always focused her career on helping those in need. Karen practices pharmaceutical and medical device litigation as well as helps those harmed by defective products. Most recently, Karen spent seven years at a national law firm handing litigation involving thousands of injured men and women who had filed suit against the big pharmaceutical companies. The litigation result

ed in significant settlements for many injured plaintiffs. Army with the Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG). She worked in the Legal Assistance and Claims Departments, as well as serving as a Military Prosecutor and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, positions in which she worked on and tried cases ranging from DUIs to homicides. After leaving the Army, Karen worked in medical malpractice law for about nine years. Since 2009, Karen has been involved in some of the largest mass tort lawsuits in the country. She has represented thousands of victims against Bayer, Zimmer, Ethicon, American Medical Systems, Boston Scientific, C.R. Bard, Coloplast, Neomedic, Mentor and Cook. She also served on the Zimmer Knee Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee. Karen's involvement has also helped victims harmed by other pharmaceuticals and medical devices, such as testosterone, Essure, Levaquin, Cipro and Avelox. Karen also assisted retired NFL players who suffered concussion-related injuries. In addition she serves as co-lead of the Neomedic Pelvic Mesh litigation in addition to serving on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee for Pelvic Mesh MDLs pending before the Hon. Goodwin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
