Michael Maizes was one of the class attorneys in Suchanek v. Sturm Foods, Inc. et al., Case No. 3:11-cv-00565-NJR-RJD, a multidistrict class action matter that recently settled for $25,000,000. The United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois approved the settlement before trial. The lawsuit alleged that certain of Sturm Foods Inc., and Treehouse Foods Inc. Grove Square Coffee products marketed, advertised, labeled, packaged and used in Keurig® brewing machines and sold and distributed in Alabama, California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee between September 30, 2010 through September 30, 2014 was deceptive.
