North Andover has body worn cameras now!

The North Andover Police Department is proud to announce the implementation of our new Body-Worn Camera Program, beginning Monday, September 21st.

Starting Monday, our officers will be equipped with body-worn cameras as part of our continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and professional policing.

The implementation of this technology represents another step forward in our efforts to enhance public safety, strengthen community trust, and provide an additional resource for both our officers and the community we serve.

We appreciate the continued support of the North Andover community as we work together to keep our town safe.

It's beyond comical that the attorney for the officer in question has blatantly said that his client is being harassed and that these accusations are patently false. We're not exactly sure what he could be reading, but the officer's employer City of Revere Police department found him responsible for using the flock system to look up our client and punish them with a slap on the wrist of a 3-day suspension. Also, the District Attorney's office declined to prosecute our client.

What's further saddening is that the chief of police of Revere, has swept us under the rug making it no big deal while allowing sworn officers to continue to have access to the flock system.

It's obvious that police departments around the country, officers and administration alike believe that they are above the law and they can just run roughshod over the citizens rights.
