SHE FOUND HERSELF A HOME! Now this little lady and I go WAY back, all the way back to our days together as cashiers at Kohl’s. Before she was a mom, a nurse, and studying to be a nurse practitioner, I would get to hear about the hopes and plans she had while working part-time with me in retail. We’ve followed each other on-and-off over the years, so when she intimated that she wanted to look for a home, I got back in touch in the hopes of helping her make that happen.
We started looking in May 2025. We made several offers that were rejected (it was a busy summer) and made an offer that had to be withdrawn when her father became ill and she needed to care for him. She’s been through a lot over the past year personally and professionally, and I always tried to offer some form of support. We got to know each others kiddos, who usually came along for various tours (see photos). She wasn’t necessarily looking to buy this summer, but when this gem came on the market, we jumped on it pretty quickly!
I always do a buyer consult with my clients before we start working together to find out their needs and wants. Hers were simple - a fenced in back yard for her fur baby, plenty of space for her kiddos to play within the home, and in a certain range within town. Well, this home checked all the boxes and then some! We made an offer in late July and closed this past Friday. Our time for house hunting has ended, but you can bet she will be able to use me as a resource, AND I’ll be adding her home to my list of stops for trick-or-treating! 🍬 🏡
