Thanksgiving dinner conversations can get awkward, but here's one topic worth bringing up: who's handling things if Mom or Dad can't anymore? 🦃
Most families avoid this conversation until there's a crisis, which means decisions get made under pressure by whoever happens to be available. That's not a plan.
A better approach is having these discussions now, when everyone's calm and your parents can participate in choosing who does what. Maybe one sibling handles medical decisions while another manages finances.
The point is deciding together, in advance, instead of scrambling later when emotions are high.
