After my son's autism diagnosis my world changed. It changed for the better and led me on this amazing path. 🧩 I have a special part of my heart reserved for those in the special needs community. I want to help. There are so many advantages and benefits to creating a comprehensive plan for your loved one with special needs. I put on my dad's leather jacket to go outside in the cold weather yesterday while I cleaned the pool. I had chosen this leather jacket along with a few others, to keep, after my dad passed away. It took us a great while to go through his personal belongings, such as clothes because it was just too sad. As I put my hand in the jacket pocket for warmth I felt items inside. Two Tums, two Kleenex, and movie stubs from the movie Harvey in 2009. I am so thankful that with all the pain of losing a loved one, I did not have to suffer additionally with a probate because my parents created a Trust. Do you have minor children who would require caretakers if you and your spouse were to pass away? It is not sufficient to have people who are willing and know you desire this. This Guardianship must be created in your ancillary documents. Without this, your children are at the mercy of the court and child placement programs.
