🚨Sen. Patty Murray, 75, Breaks Ankle Tripping Down Stairs, Plans Quick Return to Capitol

U.S. Sen. Patty Murray on Thursday shared that she broke her ankle after tripping while rushing down stairs earlier this week. Her lower leg in a cast.

In the photo of her injured with crutches beside her, she is waering a sweatshirt that reads: “WELL, SH*T.”

🟦SEN MURRAY: "Next week, I’ll be back at the Capitol for votes and hearings and doing everything else I can to be a voice for Washington state in the Senate—I’ll just be swapping one of my tennis shoes for an ankle brace for a bit.

"Whether on foot, crutches, or wheels—I have no doubt I’ll still be one of the fastest Senators, and I hope to be speed walking through the halls of Congress again very soon."

She thanked staff at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash., for her care.

A great read! Treatment courts are working and changing lives all over the nation, and Washington is helping pave the way.

One of the biggest misconceptions today is that compassion and accountability are opposites. They are not. In therapeutic courts, they work together.
