Some relationships begin with business but grow into something so much more meaningful. That’s exactly what our relationship with Elaine Gardner-Lott and the The Bridlewood Real Estate Company, LLC family has become.

As the property management company for The Villages at Noah’s Landing, Bridlewood plays an important role in helping make our community a place our residents are proud to call home. But for Elaine, it has never been just about managing a property. It’s about the people who live here.

What makes this gift so special isn’t just the amount. It’s the love and dedication behind it.

Elaine, thank you for seeing our residents as more than people who live in a community you manage. Thank you for seeing them as individuals with dreams, abilities, and lives worth celebrating.

Congratulations, Margaret McNutt!

We're cheering loud for Margaret, one of the founders of ROAR Florida, on being named a winner of the 2026 Grace Hill Impact Hero Award!

Years ago, Margaret and a group of fellow parents asked a question so many families still carry in their hearts: What will our children's lives look like when they become adults? Instead of waiting for an answer, they went out and built one. They traveled the country, studied what was possible, and helped shape a vision where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities have homes, friendships, and the chance to live independently.

That vision became ROAR Florida, and it's the reason we gathered this year for Boots & Bling: A Place to Belong. Every boot that hits the dance floor and every dollar raised traces back to the courage of parents like Margaret who refused to accept "that's just how it is."

Margaret, thank you for your determination, your heart, and for believing in a future that so many families are now holding onto. This recognition is so well deserved.

Twenty-five years ago, I was in my office when my groundskeeper ran in and told me a plane had hit the first tower. I rushed to turn on the TV in our clubhouse, and along with the rest of the world, watched in horror as the second plane hit the World Trade Center. Then came word of the Pentagon.

I remember the fear — for everyone. My oldest son and his girlfriend called, wanting to pick up our younger children from school. When the towers fell, I felt sick with fear and uncertainty — for the victims, for their families, for what might come next.

In the days that followed, watching rescue teams dig through the wreckage searching for survivors was heartbreaking beyond words. I lost friends that day. So many families lost mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers.

I will never forget. I hope you won't either — and I hope we never let the memory of this day fade for the generations who didn't live through it.
