Next week, attorneys Brenna Spinner and Danny Greene will present two live CLE webinars through myLawCLE examining Florida bad faith law and the changing landscape following HB 837.

Brenna will lead Fundamentals: Florida Bad Faith Fundamentals, HB 837, and the Developing Landscape, covering the foundations of Florida bad faith law, insurer duties and standards, the 90-day safe harbor, and developing issues under the new framework.

Danny will follow with Practitioner’s Guide: Florida Bad Faith in Practice, from the Demand to the Bad Faith Case, focusing on how these issues play out in practice, from preparing policy limits demands and evaluating insurer responses to preserving potential bad faith issues throughout the underlying claim.

His session, “Finding Collectability for Brain-Injured Clients,” will focus on identifying potential sources of recovery for clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.

Dale Swope will be a featured speaker at the 2026 TBI Symposium this Friday, October 9, at the Boca Raton Marriott at Boca Center.

His session, “Finding Collectability for Brain-Injured Clients,” will focus on identifying potential sources of recovery for clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.

Hosted by Kanner & Pintaluga, the symposium brings together members of the plaintiffs’ bar and medical professionals for a full day of TBI-focused education and discussion. Proceeds benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

Looking sharp and learning from some great role models!

SRNS attorney DeWayne Terry recently spent the day with students at Henry E.S. Reeves K-8 Center for their 5000 Role Models of Excellence induction ceremony.

DeWayne had the chance to speak with the students, offer some encouragement and even help with a few last-minute tie adjustments.

The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project has been helping young men connect with positive role models and prepare for success in school and beyond for more than 30 years.

A great program, a great group of young men and a good-looking collection of ties!

Please join us in welcoming Jamie Novaes to Swope, Rodante, Newsome & Steinberg!

Jamie joins the firm with more than 12 years of insurance defense and litigation experience, bringing valuable insight into how insurers evaluate, defend, and resolve significant claims.

A Tampa native, Jamie graduated cm laude from the University of South Florida and Stetson University College of Law, where she finished in the top seven percent of her class. She was also a member of Stetson’s ABA National Appellate Advocacy Championship-winning team.

Before joining our firm, Jamie became a partner at an insurance defense firm and handled complex matters from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal. Today, she puts that experience to work representing injured people and policyholders in insurance bad faith, personal injury, wrongful death, and complex civil litigation.

Jamie has also been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and by Best Lawyers as one of its Ones to Watch in America.

We’re excited to welcome Jamie to the team and look forward to this next chapter with her at Swope, Rodante, Newsome & Steinberg.
