First one’s in the books.

We just closed our first agricultural conservation easement under Commissioner Wilton Simpson’s Rural and Family Lands Protection Program. A piece of working Florida, kept working, permanently, by an owner who chose it.

The program does what most conservation fights can’t. It pays willing farmers and ranchers a fair price to keep their land in production. No mandate. The owner decides.

234,000 acres conserved since 2001, and counting.

The Rural and Family Lands Protection Program works with willing farmers and ranchers to prevent future development of working land through rural lands protection easements. By permanently protecting working lands from development, Florida is supporting agricultural operations that contribute to Florida’s economy and the production of food, timber, and other resources vital to the prosperity of Florida.

We had a blast at the Annual Membership Dinner hosted by the Centro Asturiano de Tampa! 🎉

Since 1902, Centro Asturiano has helped preserve the rich cultural heritage that shaped Tampa and Ybor City into the community we know and love today. It stands as a testament to the generations of families, workers, physicians, and business leaders who built this city through tradition, resilience, and connection.

That history is especially meaningful to our firm. As a third-generation Tampanian with Cuban and Spanish roots, Founding Partner Terin Barbas Cremer's family story is deeply intertwined with Ybor City's legacy.

Downtown Plant City’s comeback made the Tampa Bay Business Journal, and it’s a great read. Wine bars, a meadery, a whiskey bar, live music, most of it built by locals betting on their own hometown in the historic brick buildings already standing.

Our Managing Partner Jake Cremer has worked in Plant City for years and has loved watching it happen. His take is below: the best growth strategy for a small town is to commit to being a real place.

Plant City's downtown was once so empty that business owners joked it would be a great place to film a zombie movie, but a wave of entrepreneurs took a chance on the historic district and transformed it into a thriving destination.
