I-75 SB near MM260, Tampa: vehicle fire; smoke reported
W Hillsborough Ave & Race Track Rd N, Tampa: crash; road clear
I-275 NB near MM46, Tampa: crash; road clear
US-301 & Big Bend Rd, Riverview: crash; roadway clear
Dale Mabry Hwy N & Exciting Idlewild Blvd, Lutz: crash; road clear
Pinellas County
4145 49th St N, St. Petersburg: crash with roadblock

Pedestrian accidents are terrible. Stay alert while driving, and look out for people walking, biking, riding scooters etc. The road is to be shared.

The driver of one of the cars fled the scene, but was returned by a family member, the FHP reported. He was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death.

If your loved one died after using kratom, 7-OH, or a concentrated kratom extract, do not throw the product away.

The bottle, package, remaining tablets or liquid, receipts, online order records, and even photographs of the label could become important evidence.

Concentrated 7-OH products are not the same thing as ordinary kratom leaf. Federal and Florida regulators have raised serious concerns about these products and their opioid-like effects.

If a death involved 7-OH, 7-hydroxymitragynine, enhanced kratom, kratom extract, tablets, gummies, shots, capsules, or similar products, the product itself may need to be investigated along with medical records, toxicology findings, labeling, warnings, and where it was purchased.
