What does a sponsorship make possible for an elderly immigrant?

At Oasis For Immigrants, donor support helps cover legal screenings, citizenship and naturalization assistance, and legal document preparation for low-income older adults. That can mean reduced fees, stronger applications, and guidance through a system that is often hard to navigate alone.

Our Citizenship & Naturalization Assistance program aims to help 200 lawful permanent residents submit N-400 applications each year, with a target approval rate of more than 80% within 18 months. Give to this campaign to help fund that support.

For many elderly immigrants, the challenge starts long before a hearing, with language barriers, confusing paperwork, fee waivers, and the naturalization process itself. Oasis For Immigrants helps older adults prepare citizenship applications, study for civics and English requirements, and access one-on-one legal support tailored to their needs.

For many older immigrants, the hardest part is not just the paperwork. It is navigating it alone.

Oasis For Immigrants focuses on elderly immigrants, especially those facing isolation or family separation due to deportation. Through legal assistance, advocacy, workshops, one-on-one clinics, and referral networks, we help older adults access critical services and move through the citizenship process with support that is trauma-informed and accessible.

Each year, our programs reach an estimated 200 to 400 participants, including older adults who need accommodations for age or limited English proficiency.
