FACDL Leadership Connects with St. Johns County Chapter!

FACDL President Aaron Wayt and Executive Director Suzanne Egan joined St. Johns County Chapter President Tim Pribisco and local members for the chapter's October meeting.

The conversation focused on legislative updates, statewide FACDL programs, and opportunities for FACDL and its local chapters to strengthen collaboration and better support one another.

Also joining the discussion were Joe Bell, Thomas Cushman, Dan Hilbert, Terry Shoemaker, and Norma Wendt.

Paws up to NEFACDL! 🐾

A big shoutout to FACDL’s Northeast Florida Chapter (NEFACDL) for combining professional development with community service at its October Monthly Meeting and Volunteer Dog Walk at the Jacksonville Humane Society!

Andrew Fawbush, FACDL Chapter Representative and NEFACDL member, presented a crash course on Formal License Review Hearings (DMV hearings), sharing practical tips and guidance on navigating the process. He also provided insights and advice on the SAO’s recently launched DUI First-Time Offender Program.

Greater Transparency needed in Florida's Lethal Injection Process

Following Florida's 17th ex*****on of 2026, FACDL President Aaron Wayt spoke with Tampa Bay 28 about concerns surrounding the state's lethal injection procedures and the need for greater transparency and accountability.

With renewed national scrutiny of ex*****on protocols, Wayt raised important questions about how the state ensures that individuals are unconscious before administering subsequent lethal drugs.

“Once the process plays out and the person has been killed, how can you make sure that first drug worked?” Wayt asked.
