Save the date. The Florida Bar Fall Meeting is scheduled for 9/16/2026 to 9/18/2026 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, with the Section meeting held on 9/17/2026 at 1 pm in the Oceans 9 Ballroom.

Two free ADR Section forums are on the calendar for September, both open to all.

The Mediator's Forum returns 9/4/2026 from 8 to 9 AM after a two month hiatus, offering 1 hour of CME credit. ADR Executive Council member Mark Greenberg, who chairs the Section's listserv subcommittee, welcomes appellate attorney Andrew Harris for a discussion on proposals for settlement and hi/low agreements. Harris served as petitioners' appellate attorney in Trace Elements, Inc. v. Mackensen, a recent Florida Supreme Court ruling invalidating a proposal for settlement.

The Arbitration Forum follows on 9/8/2026 from 8 to 9 AM. This monthly session from the ADR Section's Arbitration Committee runs the second Tuesday of every month. Topic to be announced.

Meet Our Member Spotlight: Keith Grossman

Keith Grossman helps families navigate divorce, child custody, estate planning, and related family law matters with greater ease and dignity. He is a Collaborative Attorney, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family and Circuit Civil Mediator, and a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator. Keith helps his clients think beyond the courtroom, preserving both their finances and their relationships. In 2015, the Lee County Association of Family Law Professionals recognized this approach with the Hugh E. Starnes "Think Outside the Box" award for leadership and innovation in non adversarial practice.

Keith is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, a distinction held by fewer than 15% of attorneys, and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University, teaching Alternative Dispute Resolution, Elder Law, and Comparative Criminal Justice, and regularly lectures and writes on conflict management and negotiation. He is the author of three books on the subject of releasing judgment and building peace, and blogs at PeaceShark.com.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Keith is a Past President of the Lee County Bar Association and currently serves as President of the Collaborative Professionals of Southwest Florida, alongside board roles with the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Association of Family Law Professionals.

We are grateful for Keith's dedication to peacemaking, his commitment to educating the next generation of practitioners, and the depth of experience he brings to our section and the broader ADR community.
