So I tried to do a Fundraiser for my Birthday to St. Jude's again, but for some reason the link is broken, so in replacement of that I'm asking all my family & friends to come join me at the Church I go to 2 days after my Birthday. The Only thing I'm asking is for your Presents of being there. It will only cost you a hour of your time. You don't have to put anything in the collection plate, unless you choose to do so. By showing your presents to God would be the Best present to me. Now if you can't make it because the journey is to far ( That's the Only good excuse) then I ask that you give a New Pair of Socks to the next homeless person you see. Yes that means you have to have a pair with you while driving around. You can buy a 6 pack of them, give 5 to your kids, husband, wife or whoever or all to the homeless. This is about the Best thing you can give to a homeless person & truly know it's going to do good. Me & my wife Lorene Legault do this every year around this time & give out 50 to 100 pairs. We get them from Amazon for I think was $35 for 100 pair this year. Just think to yourself how good a fresh pair of socks feel on some tired feet & you can truly know much a simple thing can be a great gift.

A Servers Life = Held Hostage! Have not posted one in awhile, but this is a must to add. So tonight I'm in Dupont, WA. trying to serve a John Doe. As I'm walking up the front window is open & I heard a person cough. I thought awesome, someone is definitely home, which was great because I had another file for Dupont that nobody was home. Anyways I'm walking up to the door. No door bell so knowing someone was home I did a light knock, no answer, so I knock a little harder, still no answer, but I definitely heard someone walking & talking near the door. So I knock a little harder & again I heard someone talking. With no answer I knock much harder this time & a guy opens the door & right away he is in my face & yelling at me for knocking hard. I ask if he is John Doe & he says no while still screaming at me at this point. I could practically see the steam coming off his face & I tried to leave & he gets in front of my pushing me with his body telling me I can't leave because he was going to call the cops because I had woke his kid & I was Tresspassing. At this point I was able to get around him but barely. As I was trying to get to my car he kept getting in front of me to try & block me. I told him he is holding me hostage & I was going to call the cops. I had still not been able to get to my car when a woman came out who I assume was his wife & she starts yelling at me as well saying I scared her. By now I was able to get to the door of my car, but he at first blocked me from getting in saying again that he wasn't going to allow me to leave, then he let me get in my car but was blocking me from leaving still. At this point I was able to call 911 & was telling them he was holding me hostage & not letting me leave. He again while I was on the line to 911 said I could not leave, then realized I really was talking with 911 & moved out of the way so I could leave. I pulled away, got down the road & continued to give my info to 911. They asked if I was hurt & if I still wanted them to come there. I told them I was going to leave because I know nothing will happen to him,but did request someone atleast go there & talk to him. Got off the line with them & a few minutes later a officer called me back asking what I wanted them to do. Again I stated the same thing & said If you find out that he was the person I was looking for, then to call me & I would come back & serve him. Never received a call back, so as I assumed they did nothing & he was not the person I was there for. Until my next adventure stay safe.

A Servers Life: Have not done a recap in awhile even though I have had many. Anways this is a new one for me. Most of it is a common for me. Go to the house, which I had been to a couple times, left business card both times with no call back. One of the times there was a package with her name on it, so with that I knew forsure she lives there. This time I pull up, garage door is open & female was standing there. I hurry in thinking she is going to shut the door. I get out walk up to her state her name & she responded with a yes & she refuses to take them & says what I have never heard before. " You need to send those to me by Registered Mail"... I chuckle to myself and tell her thats not how it works & tell her she can accept them or I can drop them in front of her. She chose not to accept them, so I drop served them.... Like I'm going to go to the post office & send them to you via the mail man....lol... this is what I do.. File Done!

A Servers Life: When you have to deal with the neighbors gripping because the defendant refuses to answer the door.. Maam, I can serve anytime of the day, blame it on your neighbor for me knocking and I may be knocking loud, but your Screaming at me is even louder.... I will be back...lol

A Servers Life: Sometimes when you serve someone, you also get a genuine joy of serving them. In this case a 70 year old lady who I took all her groceries in for her. Sadly she was getting served because someone had scammed her, so this was something she needed to move forward.

A Servers Life: This morning I had a live one with 3 cop cars involved. Was trying to serve this Jane Doe. Anyways im knocking on the door at 7 am and a female came down looked out the window and said you have to wait Im getting my kid ready for school. Im like ok & give her 5 minutes then I start knocking on the door again. After a couple times knocking I hear her yell out from a side window or something to go away or she is going to call the police. I ponder for a second because I was suppose to be at prayer breakfast already, but figured I was going to be late anyways & continued to knock. She now stated to me to go away & that she had called the police. So I continued to knock until I seen a police car. At this point the police car is at the end of the street & I'm waiting. He finally pulls closer, I tell him what's going on & he states he is waiting for backup. Backup finally gets there & the go up to the house. She doesn't answer for them either, so one of them go back to their cruiser and call her. They go back up to the door with me standing near by. She opens the door goes off on the police calling them names. I tell her she is served as Im tossing the papers and she slams the door shut. The police had already confirmed who I was looking for was the person who called and came to the door. She got Served & I got extra verification via 4 police officers. Job done!

A Servers Life: So, I had an Police Assist tonight. I had a few serves in Dupont tonight. First one went fine. Get to the 2nd one. A lights are on in the house, should be an easy one, but no. Someone comes to the door, but does not open it. I ask for Jane Doe & the person confirms she lives there, but is not home. I speak to this person through the door, but she will not open it. I tell her if she at least looks out the window, that I can set it down. She refuses to do this & tells me to go away or she will call the police. I being me tell her to go ahead & call the police & I continue to knock & ring her door bell while loudly saying Officer of the court....After a bit I finally tell I will be back as I have another file to do close by. I go to my car do my paperwork as a refusal of service & just before I get ready to leave 2 police cars pull up. I get back out of my car & introduce myself to one of them, tell hi. The situation going on. The first thing he asks me is what's that badge thingy. My response is its just like your badge thingy...lol...anyways he says the person says he can hand the stuff to her. I say that's fine as long as he gets a description. He takes them up, it's served & it was her all along. Job done with an assist. On a note when talking with the officer that I felt his remark about that badge thingy was disrespectful. He then goes on to say I know you. I tell him I have never dealt with any Dupont Police. He says that he has seen me through a few different Door Cameras. ....lol...All in all. She got served!

A Servers Life: Last night I felt like I served Rambo. So im serving in Dupont, which has a lot of active and retired military. Anyways im at this house. I know someone is there because of the hatch was open on the vehicle there and all the lights are on. So I go to the door and im ringing the bell and knocking on the door over and over, again im doing this because I just know someone is there. After about 15 minutes I go back to my car and make a call to the number I have. John Doe answered and I confirmed it was who I was looking for. I go on to tell him that it is me who has been knocking on his door and ringing his bell. I then ask if he would come to the door. He agreed and I go to the door. This guy answers all decked out in bullets hanging across his shoulder to his waist and what I believe was a m22 or something like that. I proceed to confirm its him, he says yes, but would not accept the documents in his hand. He then is asking for my I.D. I tell him my badge is enough I.D. for him and tell him he can either take the documents or I can drop serve them, but either way he is served. He finally accepts them and I go on my way. Not sure if he was trying to look threatening with his gun, but I was more scared of himself. Real big guy and Definitely Military. Got the job done eiway. And no he never pointed the gun at me.
