Welcome to the 3rd week of August -- we have four Housing Justice Project Tenants' Rights Legal Clinics for you! If you're a low-income renter with a landlord-tenant problem in King County, you can walk in to a clinic in Renton or Rainier Beach; in Pierce County HJP will be ready for you at the Moore Branch Tacoma Public Library and Lakewood City Hall.

What to know -- when you arrive a paralegal will do an intake with you to determine income and issue eligibility to have a 30-minute consultation with one of our Housing Justice Project attorneys. These are walk-in clinics but advice slots are limited so we recommend you arrive early, bring any documents related to your issue, and be prepared to wait. We look forward to seeing you!

We're looking forward to seeing you next week if you have a civil legal issue you'd like to talk with us about! Our legal aid pop-ups are walk-in, first-come, first-served, and open to anyone.

We're excited to be adding a new location on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at St. Leo's Food Connection, 1323 S. Yakima, from 11-1! Thank you to St. Leo's for inviting us!

FOR VETERANS ONLY -- We (our VALOR Program attorney and outreach. staff) will be at Building 9 at American Lake from 1-4 p.m., hope to see you there! Bring any issues you need help with, from VA benefits to family law issues to landlord-tenant problems to questions about estates and wills.

This coming week we have three Tenants' Rights Legal Clinics for you, from downtown Tacoma to downtown Lakewood to downtown Burien. Remember to bring any documents related to your case or issue along with you and expect to do an intake with a paralegal. We've got a great pop-up schedule for the first week of August, especially if you live in or near Sumner! We'll also be at the Eastside Family Resource Center in Tacoma and wind up the week at the Main Branch Tacoma Public Library.

If you're a low-income tenant who's experiencing housing insecurity because of a problem with your landlord that isn't being resolved, come get some advice from one of our great Housing Justice Project staff attorneys at one of our Tenants' Rights Legal Clinics! The regular schedule for both Pierce and King Counties is always available on our website and you can walk in to these clinics -- we recommend you get there early and bring any documents related to your issue.

If you're low-income and experiencing a problem with your landlord, whether it's a notice you've received, needed repairs that aren't being done, pests, mold, harassment, retaliation or any other issue that is making you feel insecure about your housing, our Housing Justice Project's staff attorneys are here to help -- Tenants' Rights Legal Clinics next will be at the Tacoma Public Library Main Branch, Lakewood City Hall and the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.
